Casting Actors and Singers for the Musical “Leonardo da Vinci. The Formula of the Renaissance”
The Italian production company Makers Lab announces the casting for the musical “Leonardo da Vinci. The Formula of the Renaissance”.
The staging of the musical is planned in Rome for the 2026-2027 biennium.
Synopsis: In his youth, Leonardo da Vinci loses a friend and swears to invent a formula of revival to bring him back to life. From that moment, the genius’s entire existence is dedicated to this goal, an achievement that will end up shaping an entire era: the Renaissance.
Characters and Roles
- Leonardo da Vinci (Protagonist): Man, tenor, age 25-35 years, slim build.
- Girolamo Savonarola (Protagonist, antagonist): Man, bass/baritone, age 30-45 years.
- Salai (Protagonist, friend of Leonardo): Man, tenor, age 18-25 years, slim build.
- Orsola (Protagonist): Woman, mezzo-soprano, age 25-35 years.
- Cecilia Gallerani: Woman, soprano/mezzo-soprano, age 25-35 years, slim build.

Artist Requirements
Active participation in the rehearsal process and full availability for the 2026-2027 seasons is required, necessary for planning and defining the performance calendar.
For the casting, artists with either lyrical/classical vocal training or pop-jazz (musical) vocal style will be considered.
